This website was launched by the UNDP Moldova Project „Implementation of the e-governance Component of the National Strategy “e-Moldova” which is being developed in the Republic of Moldova since 2005, in close partnership with the RM Ministry of Information Development.

Through this project, UNDP funded by the Government of Japan and SOROS Foundation, assists the Republic of Moldova Government in the implementation of the e-Governance component of the National Strategy “Electronic Moldova”. With the overarching goal of strengthening democracy in the country, the Project aimed to support the Government in advancing the ICT usage in government processes and services, facilitating the access to public information, improving the quality of public services. Based on the developed within the project documents: eGovernance Concept, eGovernance Portal Concept and Terms of Reference for eDeclarations Portal & Information System and Technical Requirements for Central eGovernance Portal and eGovernance Gateway and Government Gateway of e-Governance interoperability; the eDeclarations Portal & Information System will be developed jointly funded by UNDP, SOROS Foundation and the Government of Moldova. In order to improve quality the quality of public services and facilitate the interaction between public authorities and the citizens, UNDP, in cooperation with the Academy of Public Administration , will organize trainings and certification of civil servants in 3 regions based on the developed training manuals.

The website provides information on: electronic governance; news related to the Information Society from Moldova and from abroad; documents to be developed, as well as final documents developed by experts within the project; figures and facts on citizens’ readiness level for an informational society, surveys, etc.

We shall keep you up to date on the steps realized during the activities undertaken in this field, and about the successful results reflected by the public opinion.
